Personally, I would prefer it if the government handed out vouchers (that can be exchanged for foodstuff or other necessities) instead of cash. Secondly, people with regular income (pensioners and government servants with less than 3K salary) should not be given the aid. They should learn to live within their means. Here we are more concerned about people who are jobless, people who depend on their (equally poor ) sons or daughters. We can have this 'gift of cash' as an annual affair so people will not label it as election money.Haslinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14379347642389791922noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6856155291138228196.post-3172126748280123672012-01-31T07:33:18.552+08:002012-01-31T07:33:18.552+08:00Any personal views on the merit and demerit of the...Any personal views on the merit and demerit of the gift of cash? I have seen how this being publicised. I am sure the total money allocated and spent is by no means a small sum. What does it mean at the end of it all? I have no political agenda - just a thought.Al-Manarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07203360858632549270noreply@blogger.com
